The very first verse of the Bible reads:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Gen 1:1

AND. God’s throne is in heaven, we reside on earth. He created both at the same time, together. Then sin separated humankind from God:

Rather, your iniquities have been barriers between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. Is 59:2

God reconciled us to Himself through Christ. Jesus’ very last written words are:

The one who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!” Rev 22:20

Coming. Not going, but coming back to be reunited with His bride.

I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. Jn 14:3

To be with Him. And until that day, the very last verse of the Bible:

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. Amen. Re 22:21

His grace with all. And. Coming. With. With. Together in the beginning, separated by sin, then reunited. The entire Bible, cover to cover, from first verse to last – our story – this life – is all about being reunited with God.

One Response to Reunited

Reblogged this on The Word Of God and commented:

While we wait for Jesus’ return, what better way to become reunited with God than to speak, study, meditate on, and memorize God’s Word? We put our mind on His Word and He will write His Word in our minds and hearts, which will transform the way we think, feel, and act as we become more like Christ.
