Here are my notes from Priscilla Shirer’s message at Deeper Still, Dec 4, 2010:
There are over 8,000 promises in the Bible that are within our reach.
Christians pray for miracles but then spend their time avoiding the context in which miracles happen.
2Kings 13:15 – Bring to the table the bow & arrows that you do have, and use them all.
You have no idea the amazing things that can happen when one person is radically obedient to God.
For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. 2Chron 16:9
O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you. 2Chron 20:12
Every time Anne Graham Lotz was facing a major decision, a specific Bible verse spoke to her. <- Stay in the Word!>
If we really believed Jesus is God, we would trust him instead of ourselves. There is nothing more scary and exciting than a victory that we had nothing to do with.
It is not the amount of faith, it is the kind of faith that matters.
2Kings 13:19 – Elisha is evangellically ticked off (because the king did not use all the arrows he had). Take everything you have and use it for God. In your emptiness and weakness is where God can show up.
